Noel would snap back at him in her usual little way, but there was an unspoken balance of power being played, she knew. For once, she needed to be on his good side. How, she still wasn't sure, but though she could run back while she still could there was something about this ordeal that the blonde found necessary.

Even if this was still only a game for him. Feeling nervous, Noel wasn't sure how much more she could guess at this before he finally gave up and left. What was it, then? Getting lunch for him? No. That was redundant. Taking care of all of his paperwork? Yeah, right; she'd rather die.

...make him a homecooked meal?

Come on, Noel. Food wasn't on his mind.

There was a negative connotation to everything her thoughts suggested, and in the end... there was nothing she could comfortably suggest. Which only left one thing.

"Then..." She took in a deep breath, preparing herself for the brunt of his words. "What do you want, sir?"
