Fifty Shades of Green Ω Locked to
failazure
It's slow.
Really, really, slow.
And boring.
Separately, these things wouldn't be of any consequence to Hazama, but combined... well. There was only so much he could do to keep himself distracted, which may or may not include terrorizing the newest batch of NOL officers, fresh from graduation day and green in more ways than one. You'd think they'd have learned by now not to hover around him like a pack of dogs waiting for a bone, but alas. Hard to teach a puppy new tricks, or some shit like that.
After sending away the last boring square off on some mission to find the hair of a gremlin ("no, it exists, trust me -- are you really going to disobey the orders of a superior officer, hm?"), Hazama reclined lazily in his seat and propped his feet up on his desk. Slow days were the worst. There was almost nothing to do to keep him from tearing his hair out and, seeing as how he liked his hair, that was saying something about the state of his boredom.
Hazama glanced briefly at the clock. He ran through a specific lieutenant's schedule in his head, and with a small curve of his lips leaned forward and hit the button on his intercom.
"Paging Miss Noel Vermillion... Miss Noel Vermillion, please report to Captain Hazama's office ASAP. That's as soon as possible, I repeat, as soon. As. Possible."

more like fifty shades of moe
As if one cue, the voice of a certain someone blared through the intercom. Noel nearly dropped her pen (ah! one splotch of ink could have damaged that document!), eyes darting to the device hanging from the wall.
That was Captain Hazama's voice, calling for her of all people--and on this day, no less. Noel very carefully put down her pen, parting the stray hair that obstructed her vision and casting her eyes back down. What was this all about? What did he want from her? ...oh, she had an idea... maybe.
--No. No, of course not. He was busy with all of the newcomers! Clearly this had to have been some other work-related inquiry or something, but even then... Noel wasn't thinking of the silly issues of whatever water-drainage maintenance she had to sign and stamp any longer.
Quietly excusing herself, she left her office, making sure not to catch her superior's attention. Who was she kidding, though? Captain Hazama just had to send the message out to everyone, didn't he? --Ah, there she goes again! Work, work!
Head full of denial, the lieutenant trekked through the halls and corridors of the HQ, and when she finally reached the door that was plainly labeled "Captain Hazama, Intelligence," it took her only a few hesitant moments before her hand reached out to knock.
Anyone there?
all the moemma
He hadn't really bothered to tidy up because, really, it's Noel. Various papers and reports were strewn in chaotic organization across his desk, and Hazama -- well, Hazama had planted himself right in the very middle of things. One ankle crossed over the other, he regarded Noel's approach with the same bemused, fox-faced expression he always wore.
It's a wonder they hadn't kicked him out of the NOL yet, but he'd always thought that the geezers who ran the Librarium had a masochistic streak. Why else would they have let people like Noel into the ranks?
"Ah, Miss Vermillion. How good of you to come so quickly." He steepled his fingers together as though in deep thought, but the act made him look more devious than anything.
"I'm sure you know why you're here."
>8C
And Noel, a simple, lowly lieutenant, had somehow found herself involved with him in ways that could probably get herself fired.
It's no surprise, then, after surveying the mess of a desk, that she would react so poorly to those words. Well, not poor, per se, but after such a slow day the lieutenant wasn't ready for such forwardness. If that's what he was referring to, anyway.
Noel blinked a few times, as if attempting to blink back the growing heat spreading across her features and failing miserably. Hazama was hard to read, to be sure. Noel couldn't help but wonder if, maybe, that's not what he meant at all. Maybe, even, he only worded it in such a way to garner a reaction from her. Of course! She was onto him.
"L-Let's see, um..." Noel stammered out the words. This was the sort of thing where she had to think quick, lest she made a bigger fool out of herself. What was on the agenda today?
"Oh, of course!" She nodded to him, regaining her momentary loss-of-good-posture and attempting to keep the conversation semi-professional. "I've heard that the Intelligence Department has been helping the new officers get settled. Do..."
She shifted nervously from her spot.
"Do you require any assistance?"
Re: >8C
and on
and on.
It seemed apparent that he'd found fault with her words, but just when the quiet in the room reached awkward levels he let out a chuckle and folded his arms over his chest.
"Well well well. I guess you do read the memos after all."
He stretched a long-fingered hand over the desk and, picking one piece of paper out of the stacks of missives sprawled across his desk, he slid it forward. It was short and succinct, but detailed a rather hefty list of what looked like... book titles.
"Some of the new recruits have said that they've been a little... bored as of late. Need a bit of light reading, so to speak." He plucked up the list and pretended to examine the titles lazily. His slitted eyes slid between Noel and the book titles with no small measure of amusement.
"I can't abandon my post, as I'm sure you know, and that's why you're here."
He outstretched the list to her. A majority of the books listed -- actually, all of them -- were titled along the lines of Steel Members and 50 Shades of Vagina.
"You probably don't need any further explanations, right?"
no subject
Either simple-minded or simply way too trusting, Noel did not expect anything out of the ordinary from such an explanation, but when it came to Hazama, there never was anything ordinary about him. With the list outstretched and in her line of sight, the lieutenant leaned in and scrutinized the piece of paper.
Whatever front of professionalism she had was now gone, replaced with a stuttering mess of a girl who wanted to believe this was some cruel joke.
"Wh-What-- Is this!?" Blushing and panicky and all kinds of embarrassed, she somehow managed to squeak out the words. This had to have been a violation of something -- anything!
"C-Captain, you're not..." She looks between him and the sheet, her countenance anything but amused. "This isn't for real, is it? Please tell me you're joking!"
no subject
"Honestly, Lieutenant, someone your age would have known that without even asking. But I suppose you can't be blamed, I mean... I'm sure someone such as yourself would have found little time for things like that."
The truth of the matter was, he knew that the men here were restless. For whatever reason a good number of them had started up a sort of Noel fanclub that was, in all honesty, quite pathetic. Hazama hadn't the heart to dispel these little delusions of theirs, but that didn't keep him from taking advantage of it every chance he got.
The object of your infatuation delivering you sex in a book? It was a win-win situation for both sides, really.
"Oh and --" he looked at the clock. "You'll want to hurry it up a bit. I think the bookstores close early today."
no subject
Needless to say, Noel had always tried to be a good secretary, even if at times she would constantly find herself slipping behind. If not for the certain abilities that had her outmatch countless others, surely the NOL would have let her go long before. This was different. So very different and way outside her comfort zone, superiority be damned.
"I'm sorry, but," she's not even sure how to react -- was this really for real? "M-My job description didn't cover these sort of errands. You'll have to find someone else, Captain!"
no subject
"Unless you'd rather I pull one of the agents from a field mission to do this? My my my... and here I thought you were one of the most obliging people the department. But I suppose I was wrong." And as if he intended to summon someone right here and now, Hazama leans across the desk to his intercom but not after giving Noel a disapproving look and a cluck of his tongue.
no subject
What was she getting herself into?
"Okay!" She spoke suddenly seconds before he could call for a substitute. You win, Captain. "I... I'll do it -- but this is hardly appropriate!" Averting her eyes to the ground, her blush deepened. Had she really just agreed to this?
no subject
"Oh and, while you're out -- why don't you go ahead and pick yourself up something nice? Nothing too expensive, because as I'm sure you know with the way Intelligence has been lately we've been a little... tight on funds." Meaning all those books there, Noel? They're all coming out of your paycheck.
"Best hurry up. I'm sure the stores are going to be closing soon." Which was actually a lie, since he'd done a bit of research and found that pretty much all of them had been closed for a good hour and a half. Whoops.
no subject
It's for that reason, too, that she began to inch to the door, shoving the paper into her pocket. No need to attract anymore unwanted attention outside.
"N-Now, if you'll excuse me...!" When the blonde came close enough, she turned her heel and nearly flung herself out and away from the stifling atmosphere.
Too bad, indeed, because it would be another hour before the captain would hear from her again.
no subject
The sun was starting to set by the time he heard from Noel, and the office was awash in colors of deep, red-orange and the creeping darkness of the night sky. He hadn't bothered with turning on the light, but the fading warmth of the sun was enough to lend his eyes an eerie glow.
"Well well well. I was starting to wonder if you'd gotten lost. What took you so long, Lieutenant?"
no subject
Noel had already been witness to them countless times.
The door slamming closed, she marched over to her superior. Her hands reached into the pocket of her attire and fished out the now-crumbled remains of his so-called reading list, practically slamming it down the table.
"You know exactly what happened, Captain Hazama!" Full name and everything -- she was nowhere near happy. Not even slightly annoyed. No. Noel was mad. "The store had been closed hours ago. You sent me out for no reason, and I still have a ton of paperwork that needs to get done by tomorrow!"
She could get in so much trouble, but would he care? Of course not.
no subject
But, Miss Vermillion, isn't that something you should have done before you'd gone out? I mean, how long does it take to make a phone call? You know, you really don't have anyone to be mad at but yourself for neglecting such a simple task." A quick glance out the window told him that the last recruit had left the building for the night, and the only ones about now were himself, the lieutenant before him, and a handful of other individuals that weren't of any importance.
"Whelp." He uncrossed his legs and pushed himself off the desk. The pile of papers on it appeared to not have moved since she'd left. "I don't know about you, but I'm bushed. Time for Hazama to hit the hay."
no subject
"That's... I was only--!" She stammered, unable to bring up a retort quickly enough. The day was coming to the close, there were unfinished documents sitting in a giant heap back in her office, and now the captain was going to leave the mess he'd made behind.
That was hardly fair. Or was this another bluff?
"Going to sleep? You're really going to leave this issue like this!?" Noel could hardly believe his carelessness of the situation, and how his actions were indirectly endangering her career. Did he honestly not care?
no subject
He stepped away from his desk and the move only served to bring them closer together. Hazama wasn't backing down, and if Noel didn't either she'd more than likely find herself chest to chest with the object of her ire. Hands shoved into his pockets, he regarded her smoothly and, like always, with that enigmatic little smile on his face that was a step away from outright cruelty.
But then his face broke out into a seemingly genuine smile, and he laughed.
"I'm just kidding, of course I'm not going to leave you here, Miss Vermillion. But then the question is -- what do you want me to do about this? It's already getting late, and between the two of us--- well, I've seen that pile of paperwork on your desk. You really shouldn't spend so much time gorging yourself at lunch, maybe you'd be able to get some actual work done instead of sinking yourself into food comas. I don't think we'd be able to do much, I'm afraid."
no subject
Even so, the whole situation was weirder than normal. Having her purchase erotic novels for the new recruits was one thing. Being possibly the last one in the building with the captain was another, and it was for this that Noel began to feel suddenly awkward -- nevermind the fact that her personal space was being taken away by the sudden closeness proximity. Gulping slightly, she shuddered away, feeling suddenly... aware.
Oh, but what was she thinking? There were other matters of important that needed to be taken care of here! Here and now!
"I'll have you know, Captain, that I was very hard at work before you called for me," she nods informatively. "It's going to take forever to get finished -- at the very least, you could... you could tell the higher-ups that you required my assistance if I'm overdue!"
It was reasonable enough, wasn't it? After all, it was this order of his that caused her to get held up.
no subject
He glanced out the window again. The sky had nearly completely darkened, and the stars were beginning to show. The office was very nearly cast into inky blackness and, reaching across his desk, he grasped the switch on his lamp and flicked it on. Though dim, the light was more than enough to illuminate them both.
"Unless, of course, you can think of something that would sway my opinion." And his arms go to fold right over his chest like before, only this time he's leaned forward to smile innocuously into her face. There's a plot behind his eyes, but Hazama isn't ready to reveal it just yet. The choice is up to Noel how she would interpret the situation, but really, there were quite a few ways this could go.
"Any ideas, Miss Vermillion?"
no subject
Noel blinked back the dim light that spilled across the room, her green eyes now practically glowing with curiosity. Apprehension, maybe, because it was times like these that made her not-so fond of the captain.
The clock was ticking. If she wanted payment for his actions, she would now need to offer something up in exchange.
"I..."
But what would Hazama want?
"I'll give you a week's worth of lunch!"
...it was a start.
no subject
He doesn't say it, but the unspoken command is loud and clear between them. Try harder.
"A week's worth of lunch is something I can get from anybody." There's a hint there, Noel, but it's as much as he's going to give you. With a sigh and a shrug, Hazama turned back toward the lamp and his desk and began to gather the papers atop it into a neater-looking pile.
"If you plan to try as hard here as you do with your work -- then I'm afraid you're just going to end up right back where you are now."
no subject
Even if this was still only a game for him. Feeling nervous, Noel wasn't sure how much more she could guess at this before he finally gave up and left. What was it, then? Getting lunch for him? No. That was redundant. Taking care of all of his paperwork? Yeah, right; she'd rather die.
...make him a homecooked meal?
Come on, Noel. Food wasn't on his mind.
There was a negative connotation to everything her thoughts suggested, and in the end... there was nothing she could comfortably suggest. Which only left one thing.
"Then..." She took in a deep breath, preparing herself for the brunt of his words. "What do you want, sir?"
no subject
"Though I have to commend you for the first sign of intelligence you've shown all night, Lieutenant, I'm afraid you're still not quite stepping up to the plate. The object of this exercise," he continued, putting the stacks of papers neatly on the corner of his desk before starting on clearing the surface. "Is for you to utilize the sad little organ in your head you call your brain and think for yourself. Or myself, but really..." It's all the same thing, isn't it?
He paused. Chuckled. Shook his head, and continued on.
"I'm not here to hold your hand, Lieutenant, I'm only here to act as your superior officer, to guide you and mold you into someone capable of thinking on her own.
"But since it seems like you're having a bit of trouble here..." And, with the desk cleared, he smoothed a hand over the surface of it. "I'll give you a little help. Just because I'm such a nice guy and all." He turned back around, sitting just at the edge of the desk, and his arms crossed over his chest again.
"What do you think I want?" Best help ever y/y?
no subject
Slowly, however, she regained just enough of her composure to trail her gaze back to him, only to be met face-to-face with him.
She held her breath.
It was like being held in a testing room, or sitting in the chair at an interview. Her mind reeled with a billion thoughts, but Noel couldn't reach out and pick the correct one out of the million others. The lieutenant noted the time; even now, Major Kisaragi must have left his office at this point. Time was stalling, and the lieutenant was certain now that she wouldn't be resting now. She was trapped -- a mouse in the snake's cage.
Whereas the captain was nonchalant and relaxed, Noel was painfully quiet as she considered his words.
"...I can't read your mind," she finally spoke. "What if I get it wrong a dozen more times?"
no subject
The wood at his back groaned slightly when he shifted as though in protest to his continued weight.
"I have all the time in the world." Quite literally, and if he hadn't finished grinding his teeth all those shifts ago, he probably would be grinding them now. "But I'm sure you don't. Those reports were due by what -- midnight?"
no subject
Six on the dot was her deadline. Her higher-ups had been merciful earlier in the day and granted her a small extension, but now it felt like even that wouldn't even be enough. There was no hiding the steady confusion that began to twist in her features, however. Not 'lieutenant,' or even 'miss'? Hearing only her name escape the captain's lips left a certain strangeness. This was alien to their usual encounters, and Hazama could see that knowledge creep up her countenance. Though the implications still managed to somehow fly over her head.
Feeling she would begin to sweat at the realization (tomorrow morning--), the situation was growing even more dire for Noel. That was no time for these games, and she would make it clear for the captain.
"Can't you drop a hint? Anything, please?" Noel pleaded with him, taking a step in his direction. "I don't have any time. I can't stand here all night and guess at what you want from me, s-so...!"
no subject
He regarded her rising desperation critically, gaze sweeping up her form like he meant to assess how genuine she was in this. There were a number of things he could ask from her, he knew, and he could ascertain for himself what her reactions would be to each and every one of them. Noel Vermillion was an inane, laughingly predictable person, which had both served to advance his plans and utterly bore him to death during the time that he'd known her.
"Fine then, since you're asking so nicely." Cue Hazama pressing a hand against his chin as he turned to stare out the window. It appeared like he were seriously considering this. "Hm... What do I want..? I have an ample enough salary, I don't trust your cooking, with that ass, and I'm certainly not hurting for any fresh-faced young recruits to take care of errands around here."
His slitted gaze drifted back over to her, and he smiled.
"How about something only you can give me? Since it's me putting my job on the line, surely you could do the same for me, right?"
no subject
The lieutenant began to feel strange, and as her hands slid off her curves and reached for her chest, Noel looked at the only place she could feel somewhat comfortable at gazing at -- her boots. His words resonated in her mind, as though the missing pieces of a puzzle were finally beginning to fit, slowly but surely.
"Something... only I can give you?" Noel repeated his words, eyes widening ever so slightly. Very clearly, those words held a certain meaning behind them -- a meaning that may have been too intimate for Noel's liking, and it showed as a blush began to steadily creep up on her cheeks.
Her eyes darted back to him. "Y-You don't mean--?"
no subject
The smile on Hazama's face turned into a feigned affection that didn't quite match the mocking look in his eyes.
"You know exactly what I mean. Maybe you aren't such a bubbly little airhead after all, though -- I'm pretty sure that's considered one of your more redeeming qualities."
Head dipping down, he lowered his voice until it was little more than a whisper.
"You know, you don't have to do it... but if I were you, I'd hurry and make up my mind. The clock's ticking."
no subject
Honestly, it wouldn't be that bad, would it? Just one time. One little thing. That was all. Even if, of all people, it had to be Captain Hazama.
He would guarantee the protection of her position, however. Isn't that what mattered? Lips pursed, and after a few agonizing moments of their little stand-off, she took a few cautious steps forward; there wasn't much that kept the two at a distance, anyway.
"You... You promise?"
no subject
This close, he could practically feel the uncertainty radiating off of her. The sky had nearly darkened to an inky black with only the glow of the moon to light the way; were it not for his desk lamp, they would probably be groping around clumsily in the dark for each other.
Well, Noel probably would, and that mental image is almost (almost!) tempting enough for him to reach out and turn the light off. Hazama knew his own office like the back of his hand. It would be easy to leave Noel fumbling around in the dark for hours while he strolled on home, and have her suffering through the late hours to get her work done.
He chuckled and, for a moment, allowed his gaze to roam the expanse of her form.
Tempting, indeed.
"Tick tock, Miss Vermillion..."
no subject
Noel could feel her heart racing beneath her skin at the mere thought of it. Some of her hesitance toward the notion was the fact that it was the captain she would undoubtedly do this to -- most of it, of course, was her obvious inexperience. Maybe, just maybe, Noel could have used this opportunity to run back to her office and get the work done as fast as humanly possible, but.
"Tick tock, Miss Vermillion..."
It was only a fleeting moment, and in her frustration of being unable to reach the decision, she haphazardly pulled the band-aid. Quick yet oh-so unsmooth, the lieutenant hoisted herself on her toes and planted one small kiss on the captain's cheek before hastily pulling away.
There. Was he happy, she wondered? This was what he meant, right?
And yet, she couldn't find the words to confirm it with him. Noel instead finally garnered the courage to look at him again, eyes wide in some terrible mixture of embarrassment and hope.
Well?
no subject
Not yet, anyway.
The twitch of his lips was perfectly executed into a smile bordering on a sneer, which only seemed to spread when he lifted a hand up to his cheek and touched the spot where she'd kissed him. Like he was disbelieving, like he couldn't believe that she had just done that.
It took a moment for him to speak.
"That wasn't... quite what I had in mind, Lieutenant." It was the tone of someone admonishing a small child. "I'm sure you're well aware of the consequences of ... encouraging a superior officer into an illicit affair, as per section Six, paragraph two of the N.O.L. Employee Code of Conduct. And I'm sure you're aware that I am well within my right to report you to the board for your behavior."
It was no longer a sneer, but a smirk, which was probably not that much better.
"Right?"
no subject
She blinked once, then twice. Disbelief pooled and wrenched at her stomach, and Noel quickly found herself in a bad, bad position; a position she'd naively walked right into, little she knew, as her mouth gaped open and stuttered whatever nonsensical words she could throw at Hazama.
"No-- I wasn't-- I was only-- Thought-- What!?" The lieutenant stammered, shakily stepping back and away from the captain. "B-But I thought that's what you were asking for!"
As though it made everything better, really. Note: it didn't, and the realization had already made her feel guilty enough. Already on the verge of tears, she continued to reason with him.
"I'm so sorry, Captain! Please, don't report anything! We can... We can pretend this never happened!"
no subject
Noel was just as scared, but she was different. Different in the whole "not being human" sort of thing, which was a really, really important thing to remember when he was trying to decided how to torment her. Like now, for example.
He didn't doubt he couldn't get anyone in her place to do the same thing he would ask her, but that wasn't the point here.
"Hm... Well, you are one of my --" His lip curled around the word. "-- best workers, and it would be an utter shame to see you kicked out. Think of how bad it would be for your family." There was a threat hidden in those words, but with the way he said it it was almost hard to tell.
"Tell you what. I'll make you a deal. I won't tell the board what it is you just did, and I'll also speak to your superiors about your... extenuating circumstances. However," he held up another finger. "I'll only do that in exchange for a kiss. A real one. And try not to suck so bad this time, okay?"
no subject
The lieutenant frowned, knowing full-well that she had taken his bait -- that it was now him who held the balance between saving her position or getting her removed from the NOL. It wasn't as if she could simply walk out, either -- she needed this career. She knew he knew; otherwise, why else would he have brought her biggest weakness into this?
Bringing her mother and father into this... it was true. If Noel was fired, there would be nothing left for them. Things would return to how they originally were, and with how her father was in such a poor condition, Noel couldn't afford it. Hazama knew, and was reaping it for his own benefit.
A moment passed as she considered his words.
"...how do I know this isn't just another trick?" She quietly asked him, wanting to be sure. Perhaps it was the dim light of the lamp that made his figure more intimidating than usual, and it showed as her nerves stood on end. "That you're going to hold that against me, too?"
no subject
"All right then. I suppose I should go ahead and get started filing the paperwork, then. A pity; and here I thought that you would hold out for a promotion. Or something." Which was pretty laughable in itself, because who would give a clumsy airhead like Noel a raise? She'd probably end up spending all her earnings on food or something and be right back where she was now.
"Really, Noel, and I was working so hard to cut you a deal. Goes to show you what real kindness can get you in the end, doesn't it?
"Don't let the door hit you on the way out. It was nice knowing you, Lieutenant." And with that he turned back around, silently counting down in his head.
Three, two, one...
no subject
Then again, when it came to the captain, Noel never knew what to expect. This very well may have been serious -- he was really going to report her for something she would never think of doing, especially not to Hazama.
But her job. Her family. Noel was practically the only thing keeping everything within that household stable financially. It all rested on her, and if she were to lose it all now to this and even dishonor the Vermillion name ever further--
No... I can't let that happen!
"Don't do it!" Noel interjected, stepping toward Hazama. "I'll take up your deal, so please, don't... um, d-don't... report what happened."
Already, the lieutenant could feel her nerves standing on end. Of all the things, she was actually agreeing to kissing Hazama. Not just a simple peck on the kiss, either -- a real one.
Noel was blushing at the mere thought of it. Why her? Why was he interested in having her kiss him? Weren't there more qualified people for the job?
There wasn't much time to think about this. Thinking was bad. Captain Hazama was a weird individual who obsessed over eggs and never opens his eyes; never once did Noel feel romantically for the guy. Maybe if he were nicer, then -- oh, would her mind just shut up, please!? The quicker the act, the better! If a kiss would save her parents from potential financial troubles, then so be it!
"Just-- Just turn around already!"
no subject
There was a lengthy pause, during which the ticking of the clock sounded like footfalls. With his back still turned, Hazama plucked his hat off his head and laid it, carefully, on the rack set up next to the door. The trench coat was removed and allowed to hang underneath it, and only then did he turn to face her, expression still an unreadable, innocuous smile.
"Why, Miss Vermillion... I must say you're being quite agreeable today." Like he didn't know. The distance between them is closed and, leaning in, he lowers his voice a fraction. The hand that comes up trails a fingernail lightly across her cheek and his eyes peer imperiously down at her, his smile finally turning sinister.
"However. You rejected my first offer. So now, here's my second one.
In addition to the kiss, Miss Noel... I'm going to have to ask you for something more, to make up for the way you hurt my feelings." Yeah, he's really hurt now. His body is practically caging her in, now, turned in such a way so as to steer her toward his desk if she doesn't wish to be pressed up against him.
"Okay?"
no subject
That was when Noel realized that Captain Hazama was even more intimidating when he felt like being intimate.
"Something more?" The blonde practically squeaked out, her eyes never once leaving his as she was helplessly led to the edge of his work desk. No matter where she was now in this room, she was trapped. Trapped, and with no escape in sight -- with no one to really blame but herself. Her backside against the wood, Noel pressed up against it as far as she could. What with Hazama quickly closing in on her, the reality of the situation was finally beginning to hit her; that reality being that she really had no idea what she was getting herself into. Clearing her throat, she continued.
"What are you talking about?" Strange. It was getting harder for her to talk much louder. Maybe it had something to do with a certain green-haired individual getting in her face. "I... I don't know what you're..."

"I'm sure when the time comes for it, you'll know exactly what I mean. Baby steps." And oh if that thought doesn't fill him with a strange mixture of satisfaction and disgust. Pretty, naive, little Noel, strung along so easily like a puppet on a string. If he'd known it had been this simple he probably would have..
Actually, no. He probably wouldn't have done this before, if only for the fact he hadn't had a need or want to. To him, Noel would always be a thing, and the only way he'd subject himself to fraternizing with a thing would be for his own amusement. In this case, blackmailing Noel into a situation he knew she had zero experience in.
"I know you can't tell, but my eyes are closed, if that makes things easier."

Soothing as those words were (Soothing?), and though she continued to reason with herself, nothing prepared the lieutenant for the feel of wandering hands. Sliding across the fabric of her outfit and feeling down to her curves -- there was something both horrible and good about that touch that made Noel shiver. With nowhere else to go to, she made a haphazard effort to cling onto the man, her mind pooling with all sorts of thoughts as that already apparent blush made it look almost as if Hazama was holding a human-shaped cherry.
If I get it over with now... will it end quicker?
She continued to squirm uncomfortably from under him, breath held as she tried to reach some sort of decision. Like she had much choice at this point. Taking another peak up at his face and deducing he must have had his eyes closed, the grip she already had on his shirt grew even tighter.
"P-Please," She made one last second attempt to plead with him. "Don't do anything weird!"
And that was the last thing Noel uttered before shutting her eyes tight, leaning up and (awkwardly) pressing her lips against Hazama's.

The room had long since been cast into a shade of darkness that seemed thicker due to what was going on. Oppressive and smothering, it pressed down all around them, subdued only by the little light thrown off by Hazama's desk lamp. A fitting atmosphere, considering where he intended to take Noel's innocent little gesture tonight.
... What was he saying. From the very beginning he hadn't intended this to be innocent in the slightest. Noel? Nothing more than a dancing puppet, and Hazama held the strings.
His every move is calculated, designed not only to coax her trust but to entice, to lure her in only to rip her apart. The press of her lips to his was soft, and he used this to deepen the kiss, to encourage her into deepening it of her own volition and give in in more ways than one. His lips part ever so slightly in a way that would part her own. He's not insistent so much as guiding, quietly saying here, like this or this way, Noel with each brush of his lips to hers.
He could be romantic. He could lie so easily and whisper sweet things to her, compliment her flat chest or her fat thighs, tell her she was the most beautiful girl he'd ever laid eyes on. He could be all that and so much more, but--- really. Why make it any easier for Noel? He was already debasing himself enough as it was even if he didn't quite see it like that.
The hand on her cheek is there only because the gesture is so close to strangling his precious Murakumo Unit that he can manage it without difficulty. In this his feelings are conflicted, because the idea of filling her with such torment at enjoying this gives him enough glee to nearly forget what she was and who she was.
Make the choice, Hazama, you can either throw yourself into this shitstorm or take a backseat.
It wasn't long before the hand on her back slides down, sliding along the outside of her hip before curving around the back of her leg and and curling fingers around her inner thigh. So close, just two seconds away from being inappropriate, but he's deepening the kiss and effectively silencing any protests that may happen to arise.

Cute, little Noel Vermillion didn't know a thing about love. As Hazama held her this close -- so close that it almost felt suffocating -- Noel couldn't help but wonder if there some sort of meaning behind this. A meaning she hadn't quite yet realized.
As their lips parted, moving fervently, and sweet whispers prickling her ears, her heart grew heavy. It didn't truly hit her, not really; that up to this point she'd never been kissed before. She'd never experienced this sort of intimacy, innocent though it may seem. It wasn't the same as her parents kissing her goodnight. It wasn't the same as Makoto creeping into her bed for some platonic cuddling because she looked so "lonely". This was... different. Maybe, for that reason, Noel desperately wanted to trust Hazama just this once. Hope that these actions were for some greater good in his mind.
Noel was lost. Those very same actions that were being thrust upon her left her feeling lost in her own thoughts. The movement of her lips seemed almost mechanical against his own, complying with every little instruction of movement -- like a puppet on strings.
And somehow, as crazy as it seemed, she couldn't help but consider this notion being not as horrifying as she originally suspected. Even in the stifling darkness that surrounded the pair, the arms that secured her against their owner made her feel strangely... safe.
Were her thoughts betraying her? Was Noel that sick for something other than the lifeless interaction she dealt with on a daily basis in the office?
It was not until she felt the very same hand that had her feeling safe move lower and lower that she snapped out of the conflicting thoughts. Again, she began to feel hopelessly unsure. Yet, despite wanting to protest, Hazama seemed rather persistent in shutting her up.
She nearly jumped out of his hold at the feeling of cold fingertips curling around the warmth of her thigh. Noel's eyes shot open, darting around nervously as she began to tug at his clothing. No, no! This is too fast! would be something she would say if she could actually speak.

"What's the matter?" He chided, voice somewhat breathless and eyes glowing like embers in the dark. "You don't like it? Well, I don't like doing paperwork. Relax," his hand made a lazy retreat and his fingers uncurled from around her thigh. It remained there, though, like a cold brand against her skin, ever-reminding of his presence and the severity of what they were doing here -- of how far it could go at the drop of a hat. "I was just joking."
From its spot of ruin on the floor, the desk lamp continued to glow. The angle of the light was in such a way to cast shadows on his face and make his otherwise pleasant smile turn sinister. The effect was not unlike children shining lights under their faces in the midst of a horror story.
"If you're uncomfortable, Noel..." And he leaned forward, brushing his lips to hers with the promise of more, but without any pressure. A ghost of a kiss, meant to soothe as much as arouse. "We could always stop." And he could let her alone to pull an all nighter, because he sure as hell wasn't going to cover for her if she couldn't even manage this.

It was all very ridiculous. Two and two hadn't yet been put together, and Noel was certain the act of destroying his entire workload it was some ploy to make her afraid. Perhaps it was, in fact, but as he hoisted her up onto the now barren desk, she began to have second thoughts.
Noel wasn't stupid, either. Not entirely. His hands reaching for places that should have been strictly off-limits was one thing, but the sudden disaster of paperwork on the floor and those glowing eyes and leering smile that already made her feel exposed was like a red-alert sounding off in her head.
Silly as it was, the lieutenant still wanted to believe this wasn't leading in a direction she absolutely wasn't prepared for. And she wasn't prepared. Absolutely not. Hazama was the last person she ever wanted to do this with! He was rude, intimidating, weird, and any other negative adjective someone could come up with for the green-haired captain! So then, why did the thought of going even further make her so curious?
His lips glides across her own once more, and in that instance she shudders, the heat surrounding her face intensifying by the second. Bad decisions were going to be made, she realized after the fact that she had nearly reached for it again on impulse. Very, very bad decisions.
"H-How would you feel?" She tried to feign, because Noel Vermillion certainly never was an open book to be easily read, no sir. "I've never done this before... you would feel all weird, too!"

"Don't worry," he lied against her cheek. "Everything will be okay." He slid a gloved hand over her adorably plump thigh and squeezed hard enough to leave imprints with her fingers. Maneuvering it a fraction wider, he pressed himself against her, chest to chest, buckle scraping over her lower half in a way that was meant to be more assertive than arousing. He knew she wouldn't get hot just from this. She was too naive for that, after all. So he left it up to the pads of his fingers, the press of his lips, each movement carefully orchestrated to seduce rather than to control. Though, really, he thought with a sort of giddy delight, in this situation they were practically one in the same.
"Why don't you go ahead and tell me what you have done?" That way he knew what to work toward... or away from. "You know... So I have something to go on." His lips found their way to the spot just under her ear and he grazed the column of her lovely neck with his teeth.
If he wasn't careful, this could turn into a guilty pleasure he would have an insatiable appetite for. It was the equivalent to messing around with an inanimate object, but still -- he was never one to deny himself any sort of pleasure. He practically thrived on feeling good, after all.
"Go ahead, Noel." His murmur was more a low hum against her. It was barely audible to be heard beyond the door. "Tell me what you want."

"I..." She trailed off, a wince and some strange noise she's never heard escape her lips as his mouth glided along her neck. Her breathing hitched, and Noel found herself grabbing at Hazama again as he continued to give her more and more of what she was beginning to like. Had her neck always been so sensitive?
"I--" Come on, Noel. Breathe. "--D-Don't... ask things like that...!"
Her voice sounded weak. And very quickly she, too, was becoming physically weak herself. Had it not been for her position on the desk, her legs would have given out by now and Captain Hazama would have to deal with an incompetent officer at his feet (not that he would mind at this point).
The sad truth of the matter was that she didn't know how to answer. Noel was neither a total prude nor completely dense of how her body worked; the question of what she's done only helped to make her feel guilty, and as far as she was concerned there was no way she would ever honestly answer such a thing.
So maybe she was a bit of a prude.
"Let's just," it was more of a whimper than a command, the way she worded it. "Keep, um..."
Miraculously, she managed to move herself away from those enticing lips... only to reach down again and capture them for herself once more. In a manner that was almost unlike herself, she reached out, eyes scrunching shut uncomfortably as she wrapped her arms around his shoulders. Like this, right? Anything but having to answer to him.
