With his back still turned, Hazama plucked his hat off his head and laid it, carefully, on the rack set up next to the door. The trench coat was removed and allowed to hang underneath it, and only then did he turn to face her, expression still an unreadable, innocuous smile.

The hand that comes up trails a fingernail lightly across her cheek and his eyes peer imperiously down at her, his smile finally turning sinister.
